Come out and meet myself and other fantastic wedding vendors this Sunday, October 17th at the Premier Bridal Expo Radisson Hotel in Newport Beach.  I am really excited to be a part of this event, mainly because I get to meet oodles of excited couples.  And since I live in Newport Beach, my husband has promised to bring me lunch and a diet coke.  My throat hurts a little bit during these shows as there is so much information to share!

I am still planning my booth decorations: be prepared for candy, balloons (perhaps), and a great door prize.  One lucky winner will receive a Veuve Clicquot travel case (pictured above).  Veuve Clicquot is one of my favorite champagnes.  The stylish case contains one bottle of their signature champagne as well as two toasting flutes.  Tickets to the show are only $5 with advance purchase, so bring a group!

Trinh Chu, owner of Bella Bridesmaid in Corona del Mar.  Isn't she cute?

I am thrilled to share another fabulous Orange County vendor with you. Trinh Chu with Bella Bridesmaid contacted me about the new shop she just opened on Pacific Coast Highway in Corona del Mar.  It's a store dedicated almost exclusively for bridal party fashions (although it also carries some laid-back bridal gowns too).

We all know that bridesmaids deserve the best.  After all, they are crucial to so many brides: helping to plan the wedding, accompanying you as you search for "the gown", keeping you calm on the big day, etc.  In addition, they often plan your bridal shower and bachelorette party.

So, isn't it about time there was a store devoted to them?  That's where Bella Bridesmaid comes in, a national franchise started 10 years ago in the bay area.  Shops around the country focus on the bridesmaids, displaying unique gowns in a plethora of different fabrics and colors.  Trinh's store is relaxing and casual, and the dresses are beautifully displayed.

This Sunday, September 26th, I will be hosting a table at the Premiere Bridal Show at the Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club in Redondo Beach. I'm really excited to have a table at such a beautiful place, the Portofino Hotel is a great venue to have your wedding ceremony and reception, with a multitude of different rooms, you can even have your ceremony outside overlooking the water.  Perfect for a Southern California wedding.

Come and check out  all the great vendors.  I'll have my calendar open to set up appointments for complimentary initial consultations as well as checking to see if your wedding date is available. For more information and for tickets, click here.

Don't be shy, grab your mom or a friend and come on out.  I will try to lure you in with my charm (as well as candy).  For all couples who book from meeting me at the show, I'll be extending a special discount.  But you have to show up!

Hope to see you there!

Edwin & Nancy Photography

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy and Edwin, a married couple who own the photograpy company, Edwin & Nancy Photography.  The couple has been married for three years, and they are charming and fun.  We agreed to meet at my home on Balboa Island and they were so sweet to my new dog, Sadie.  They even took pictures of her!

Edwin and Nancy give off a warm and welcoming vibe from the start, I can tell they always want to make things comfortable for their clients.  To see more of their images and learn about their approach to wedding photography, I invite you to read on.

Inside The Ivory Suite

You have likely thought about shopping for your wedding gown before your engagement.  Some brides think about it for years.  Others dread the experience, worrying whether they will find anything they like, look good in, and can afford.

As my mom used to say, great people come in all shapes and sizes.  And I can say from experience that no matter what type of style you are aiming for and what type of body you have, you can find a fabulous gown that is right for you and your wedding.

Here are my top Five tips for wedding gown shopping:

Lauren Brooks

Yesterday Paul and I celebrated two years of marriage.  Honestly, I cannot believe how fast the time has flown by.  The two of us have been through a lot: many of those times were very challenging.  We've also had some great experiences too!  Either way, we continue to persevere and be supportive of one another, and I am proud of our marriage.

I love a mimosa on a Sunday morning.

Wow, it's hard to believe I have not blogged for such a long time!  Things have been pretty hectic, but I look forward to getting back into the swing of blogging. There are so many great ideas and people to interview and things to share.

Although the wedding season is in overdrive at the moment, I am doing my best to answer questions and email package descriptions and pricing within 24 hours of your call or email.

So...don't be a stranger!  I would love to meet with you to discuss your wedding day vision.
